Terms & risk
Front of Goal is an interface to Polymarket. We do not run the markets, custody your funds, or take positions against you. This page tells you what that means in plain English. Last reviewed 2026-05-02 09:57 UTC.
What you are doing when you click Trade
When you click Sign & submit, your wallet signs an order. Our server forwards that order to Polymarket's order book with our builder code attached. Settlement happens on Polygon. Front of Goal never holds your key, never holds your USDC, never takes the other side of your trade.
Risk disclosure
- Total loss is possible. Every prediction-market share can settle at zero. No FDIC, no SIPC, no insurance backstop.
- Liquidity risk. Order books on niche markets are thin. A market order that fills 10 shares without slippage may move 5 cents on the next 10. Use limit orders if size matters.
- Smart-contract risk. The Polymarket exchange contract on Polygon is the venue. A contract bug or oracle failure can cost you. We do not control this layer.
- Resolution risk. Polymarket markets resolve via UMA's optimistic oracle. Disputes are possible and have happened.
- Off-ramp risk. Withdrawing USDC from Polymarket to a bank account depends on Polymarket and Polygon, not us.
- Geographic risk. Polymarket geofences certain jurisdictions at the contract level. Trades from blocked countries will be rejected on-chain regardless of what Front of Goal shows.
What we promise
- We attach our builder code to every order placed through Front of Goal. That earns us 0.5% of each filled trade. It is the only way we make money.
- We do not sell your data, run third-party trackers, or share your wallet address with marketers.
- If we discover a bug that could cost users money, we publish it on the status page and email anyone who has reached out about the affected market.
What we don't promise
- Uptime. Cloudflare and Polymarket can be down; sometimes we will be too. Watch the status page.
- Price accuracy in any single millisecond. Live prices are streamed from Polymarket's WebSocket and reflect their book in near real time, but there is always some network jitter.
- Market availability in your country. We mirror Polymarket's geofence as a courtesy, not as legal advice. You are responsible for knowing your local laws.
- Investment results. Anyone who tells you they can predict a soccer match is selling something.
Disputes & questions
For order issues, market resolution disputes, or anything else: engineering@frontofgoal.com. For market resolution specifically, the canonical authority is Polymarket itself; we can help you find the right resolution thread but we cannot reverse a settled market.
By using Front of Goal you confirm you are not in a Polymarket-restricted jurisdiction and you understand the risks above.
